E. Carol Kerr, 74, of
Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on December
30, 1942 in Carlisle, and was a daughter of the late Arthur H. and Mary (Keiter) Goodhart and was the widow of Robert W. Kerr,
who died on March 20, 2011.
Carol attended Big Spring High School
and earned her GED from Cumberland Valley High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for the former
Carlisle Tire & Rubber Co. and was a cook for the Carlisle Eagles Aerie 1299 for 20 years. Carol was
also a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies of the Moose Lodge, Carlisle.
She
is survived by one son, Ronald W. and his wife, Michelle Kerr of Carlisle, two brothers; Arthur F. and his wife, Ess Goodhart
of Newville and Gerald J. Goodhart of Carlisle, one sister, Joy K and her husband, Robert Sherman of Carlisle, one step-daughter,
Elizabeth and her husband, Jeff Seibert of Carlisle, one granddaughter, Alexus Kerr, five step-grandchildren; Hannah Kerr,
Zach Kerr, Aaron Kerr, Morganne Kerr and Derek Seibert and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased
by three sisters; Violet G. Newcomer, Donna M. Smith and Patricia G. Whalen and one step-son, David A. Kerr.
In
following Carol’s wishes there will be no services. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
