Joyce
E. Comp, 70, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at her home. She was born on February
28, 1946 in Fayetteville, NC, and was a daughter of the late Sterling O. and Doris E. (Hodge) Henry. Joyce graduated from Fayetteville Senior High School
in 1964 and received an associate degree in business administration from the Fayetteville Technical Institute.
She retired after 16 years of service as an operations manager for Pinnacle Health. Joyce also was
formerly employed as health benefits advisor for the US Air Force in Elmendorf, AK and as a telephone operator with the former
United Telephone Co. Joyce was a past treasurer for the Central PA Healthcare Professionals. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years,
CW4 (Ret) Charles F. “Chuck” Comp, USA, two brothers; Joseph Henry of Charlotte, NC and David Henry of Fayetteville,
NC and one sister, Linda Williams of Fayetteville, NC and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December
8, 2016 followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with
Pastor Alan Myers officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be
