Perry J. Heavner, 67, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 in the West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA.  He was born on February 9, 1949 in Cumberland, MD, and was a son of the late Justin H. and Evelyn B. (Trail) Heavner.

Perry was a 1969 graduate of Flintstone High School in Flintstone, MD.  He retired from ABF Freight where he was a big rig truck driver.  Perry was a member of the Mechanicsburg Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Donna J. (Clingerman) Heavner, one daughter, Kimberly J. Heavner of Carlisle, two brothers; William and Frank Heavner, both of Flintstone, one sister, Louise Geiman of Westminster, MD and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by one brother, Robert Heavner and two sisters; Catherine Deremer and Naomi Simmons.

In following Perry’s wishes, there will be no services.  Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.  www.Since1853.com.
