
George M. Marovich, Jr., 76, of Elmcroft of Shippensburg
and formerly of Carlisle, died on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
He was born on August 28, 1940 in Steubenville, Ohio, and was the son of the late George M. and Stana (Raich) Marovich. George was a 1958 graduate of Weir High School in Weirton, WV and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Management in
1964 from West Virginia University. George retired from the former Carlisle Tire & Rubber Co., where
he was Assistant Superintendent of Plant 2. He formerly attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Carlisle, and was a member of the Kiwanis Club at Elmcroft. He is survived
by two daughters; Laura K. and her husband Todd Shank of Carlisle and Lee Ann and her husband Matthew Walter of St. Louis,
MO, three grandchildren, Sam and Jacob Walter and Liam Shank, two nephews, one niece and his longtime friend and former wife,
Patricia Marovich of Carlisle. He was predeceased by one sister, Kathryn Graham. Services and burial will be private. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in handling the arrangements.

Growing
