

Marlin P. Webster, Sr., 84, of Carlisle, passed
away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Thornwald Home, Carlisle. He was born on December 14, 1931 in Carlisle,
and was a son of the late David and Alberta (Losch) Webster. Marlin
retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot in 1987. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Carlisle.
While serving in the National Guard he was on assignment for a train wreck in Wilkes Barre, PA and met his love of
his live Dorothea L. Peterman. Marlin enjoyed camping and traveling the many state parks and historic locations throughout
the United States and Canada. He is survived by his wife of 64
years, Dorothea L. (Peterman) Webster, one son, Marlin P. “Skip” (and his wife, Rosetta) Webster, Jr. of State
College, one daughter, Barbara L. Adams of Mechanicsburg, one sister, “Sis” Grove (James Grove) of Carlisle, three
grandchildren; Andrew Adams (Terri), Ashley Smith (Toby) and Taylor Webster, one great-grandson, Joshua Thomas Adams and several
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, David Hunter Webster, Jr. A memorial service is planned for Friday July 29 at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Episcopal Church, On the Square in
Carlisle and a private graveside service at the LeTort Cemetery, Middlesex Twp., with Rev. David Bateman officiating.
