

Roger L. Myers, 71, of Newville, passed away on
Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at his home. He was born on June 11, 1944 in Allen, Monroe Twp., Cumberland County,
and was the son of the late Wilbur H. and Mary C. (Nickel) Myers. He was married to the late Darlene L.
(Wickard) Myers, who died Dec. 23, 2011.
Roger graduated in
1964 Big Spring High School, Newville, and served three years in US Army during the Vietnam War. Roger
owned and operated for 30 years the “Roger L. Myers Body Shop” in Bloserville. He enjoyed camping
and was a member of the Dreamers Camping Club. Roger also enjoyed woodworking, boating at Raystown Lake
and operating a portable sawmill. He is survived by one son, Gregory
A. (and his wife, Lisa) Myers, one daughter, Lori J. (and her husband, Nathan) Chronister, both of Newville, two sisters;
Donna Ott of Newville and Carolyn Nye of Newburg, five grandchildren; Adam and Lydia Myers, Gracie, Michael and Joshua Chronister,
his companion of four years, Janet Felts and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover
St, Carlisle, with Pastor Don Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens,
Carlisle, with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard. Viewings will be held on Monday, June
6, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.

smiling face when I went to Lori's (Janet's Daughter). Always will remember last time Greg and myself seen you. We
were leaving Lori's and we tried the deer jerkey, I remember telling Greg, damn that was good jerky. You were such a
great spirit and always smiling. Janet's family loved you dearly and what great memories you gave them. We will see you
again some day, Roger. Until then...

Lori I seen your father at Twin Bridges tractor show in Chambersburg,Pa. Thursday April 28th He never left on there was anything
wrong with him ! Me and Roger go back to the 70's he repaired my mother's 1970 Plymouth Belvedere after I hit a
deer ! Roger was always particular when he repaired a car !Gonna miss him especially at the tractor shows ! But Greg &
Lori & your children will miss him more then anyone ! God Bless all of you ! Just remember he's up above now watching
over you !
