Doris V. Prosser, 88, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday,
May 18, 2016 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 28, 1927 in Carlisle, and was a
daughter of the late Paul and Ann Blanche (Clepper) Heberlig and was the widow of Clair L Prosser, Sr., who died Dec. 31,
2000. Doris was a loving and devoted homemaker.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the organ and in her younger years she loved to ride rollercoasters. She is survived by three sons; Gerald C. (Terry) Prosser of WI, Earl R. Prosser of Shippensburg and Clair
L. (Lynn) Prosser, Jr. of Carlisle, two daughters; Audrey J. (William) Beidel of Newville and Donna K. (Scott) Hoaglund of
Boiling Springs, three sisters; June Miller of Hanover, Helen Mease of Jacksonville, FL and Connie Heberlig of Harrisburg,
11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many niece and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter,
Barbara L. Lightner, three sisters; Norma Flickinger, Fay Donnelly and Betty Snyder, one brother, Paul Heberlig, Jr. and one
grandson, Michael Beidel. A visitation will begin at 10:00
a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Leesburg United Methodist Church, 14 Strohm
Rd, Shippensburg. Pastor Barbara Servello will officiate. Burial will be in Cumberland
Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements.

I smile when I think of how good you were to us kids when we were little, taking us to the lake and
