Mildred M. Helm, 94, of Carlisle and formerly of New Cumberland, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle.  She was born on February 9, 1922 in Lancaster County, and was a daughter of the late Elmer and Lottie (Floyd) Gibble and the widow of Harold G. Helm, who died March 24, 1981

Mildred retired after many years of service with the PA Medical Bureau in Harrisburg.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Cumberland and the United Methodist Women.  Mildred enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Robert G. Helm of York Springs, three daughters; Phyllis E. (husband, Thomas) Garvie of Harrisburg, Janet L. (husband, Carl) Weltmer of Etters and Marilyn L. (husband, James) Moore of New Cumberland, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, stepchildren and step-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two brothers; Jay and Ralph Gibble and two great-granddaughters; Emma and Lily Moore.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 415 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with Rev. Arun Andrews officiating.  Burial will follow at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.  Memorial donations may be made to her church or to Chapel Pointe at Carlisle.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements.
