Angie Sue Burkett Vick, 49, of Carlisle, passed in to Heaven’s gate on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at home with her loving family by her side. Angie passed after a long courageous battle with cervical cancer.

She was employed as a secretary with South Middleton School District and was a former bus driver for 28 years with Rohrer’s Bus Service.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Lonnie Vick, her parents; Doris and Bob Whitzel, her devoted daughter, Stephanie (husband, Brad) Failor, mother-in-law, Gladys Vick, sister, Wendy (husband, Bob) Stephens, brothers-in-law; Randy (wife, Fern) Vick and Steve (wife, Sue) Vick, nephew, Nate Stephens and his daughter Annabelle and nieces; Lauren and Allison Vick, two grandchildren that she adored; Caleb and Nevaeh Failor. Angie was predeceased by her much beloved son, Seth Allyn Vick.

The family would like to thank special friend Cathy Reisinger who lovingly accompanied Angie to many appointments and assisted her in countless ways.

She enjoyed long motorcycle rides with her husband Lonnie, family vacations at the beach and her daily interactions with family, friends and co-workers. One of her greatest joys was driving the bus for the athletic wrestling and football trips.

Angie never met a stranger and her beautiful spirit will live on in the many lives she has touched.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, 290 Petersburg Rd., Carlisle, with Rev. Anthony DeRosa and Pastor Greg Hench officiating.  Burial will be in North Middleton Church of God Cemetery, Carlisle.  A viewing will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 5 – 8:00 p.m. at the church.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.  Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in Angie’s memory to Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 115, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9794.

Angie was One of a kind !!! She always had a beautiful smile, a big heart and was very pleasant. Every time I would see her she would speak and had that same smile even during the whole time of fighting Cancer. She was a very strong lady that was loved by many and will long be remembered for her beauty. God got a beautiful Angel when he choose Angie and we know she is still smiling. She had a long hard fight until the end, but she was still smiling and pleasant through the rough times. She will be missed, but we know she is no longer suffering and is with her Maker & her Son. RIP Angie. We will all meet again one day. Your Friend Naomi...(((HUGS)))

My thoughts are with Angie's husband, parents, and other family members at this time of grief. I had the pleasure to meet Angie when I was 5 as my kindergarten bus driver and was lucky to work with her (at a much older age) at South Middleton School District during the summers in the maintence department. I will always cherish the joy-filled memories of her positive spirit and huge heart.
