Lynne A. Houck, 74, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.  She was born on August 18, 1941 in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Lynn and Ruby (Klineyoung) Gutshall.  She was the widow of Herbert Lee Houck, who died July 21, 2001.

Lynne retired from Highmark after 18 years of service and then worked from home for I.B.M. for several years.  She was a Cobalt Mainframe Analyst.  Lynne also served in the U. S. Army Reserve for more than 10 years.

She is survived by two sons; Robert “Bobby” L. (wife, Laura) Houck of Malone, TX, Herbert “Herbie” L. (wife, Lisa) Houck of Loysville, two daughters; Deborah “Deb” A. (husband, Timothy) Bricker of Newville and Leslie K. (husband, Dave) Stum of Carlisle, one brother, David Gutshall of Mechanicsburg, a half-brother, Donny Gutshall of Wentzville, Missouri, two sisters; Nancy Fetterman and Kay Hoover, both of Mechanicsburg, her mother-in-law, Nancy G. Bowen of Newville, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St, Carlisle, with Rev. Barbara D. Albert officiating.  Burial will be private.  Memorial donations may be made to Children's International (Account number 3161773), P.O. Box 219055, Kansas City, MO 64121.

Nancy, Kay, Dave, So so sorry for the passing of your sister Lynne.  She was a beautiful person inside and out.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you today.  God bless you.
