
Mary E. Dinges, 93, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016
at CRMC. She was born on Dec. 29, 1922 in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Leah N. (Miller) Weller and
her late husband, Samuel R. Weller. She was a 1941 graduate of Carlisle High School.
Mary had worked as a manager for the lunch counters at the former downtown F. W. Woolworths and the former Montgomery
Wards and Peoples Drug Store at the former M. J. Mall, Carlisle. Mary had attended the Newville Church
of the Brethren. She is survived by four daughters; Judy Failor (companion, Ralph Stockbridge)
of Kissimme, FL, Kay (husband, Ronald) Cox of Carlisle, Linda Walker of Newville and Becky (husband, Ed) Stoner of Carlisle,
six grandchildren; Jenny Helton, Paul Failor, Greg Cox, Michele Morton, Emily Stoner and Jenna Stoner, 15 great-grandchildren
and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son-in-law, Geff Walker A memorial
service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016 in the Newville Church of the Brethren, 16 Carlisle Rd., Newville,
with Pastor John Hess officiating. Burial will be private. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home,
Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
