
B. Leona Kelley, 81, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016
at Green Ridge Village in Newville. She was born on January 12, 1934 in South Newton Twp., Cumberland County,
and was a daughter of the late Edward I. Hurley and Mabel (Zinn) Hurley Mell. She was the widow of Marlin
F. Kelley, who died March 24, 2008. Leona retired from the former McCoy Electronics in
Mt. Holly Springs after 34 years of service. She had attended the Mt. Rock United Methodist Church and
the Waggoners United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, camping, macramé, quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by two sons; David E. Kelley of Shippensburg and Edward R. (wife,
Nancy) Kelley of Carlisle, four daughters; Peggy (husband, Allen) Holsinger and Roxann (husband, Gilson) Marpoe, both of Carlisle,
Bonnie (husband, Jeff) Keck of Shippensburg and Linda Gantt of Moorseville, NC, five grandchildren; Sally Garlin, Marcus Kelley,
Wendy Kuntz, Shannon Shore and Janell Redcay, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She
was predeceased by three brothers; Paul Wyrick, C. Richard Hurley and Carl Hurley, a half-sister, Helen Hopple and a half-brother,
Robert Hurley. A viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2016 followed
by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St, Carlisle, with Rev. Barbara D.
Albert officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Memorial
contributions may be made to Green Ridge Village (Chapelwood), 210 Big Spring Rd, Newville, PA 17241.
