
Linda L. Stamy, 73, of Carlisle,
went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at home with loving family by her side. She was born on May
30, 1942 in Carlisle, and was a daughter of the late Glenn F. Throne, who died on Dec. 8, 2015 and the late Esther M. (Young)
Throne, who died on April 23, 1992. Linda retired from the Church of God Home, Carlisle, with
many years in housekeeping. She was a member of the Huntsdale Church of the Brethren, Huntsdale and a former member
of the “Sweet Adelines”. Linda enjoyed gardening, decorating, traveling and most of all spending time with
her family. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harry Clay Stamy III of Carlisle,
one son, Keith A. Stamy of Fayetteville, one daughter, Lorrie Ann Jones of Carlisle, one sister, Mary E. Arnold (husband,
Richard) of Newville, two grandchildren; Tiffany Major (husband, D’Angelo) and Megan Jones (Paul Matter), three great-grandchildren;
Nevaeh Showers, Kingston Major and Kamden Major. Linda was predeceased by one brother, Richard G. Throne. A
memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the Westminster Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel,
1159 Newville Rd., Carlisle, with Rev. Jan Custer and Rev. Harold Yeager officiating. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home is
in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Lemoyne Dr., Suite
101, Lemoyne, PA 17043.

I was deeply saddened to
hear of Linda's passing. She was always a kind and loving person and someone I was pleased to call my friend. I saw her
everyday when we worked at the Home together and always enjoyed seeing her and talking with her... So sorry for your loss
