
Georgette “GG” Milos, 94, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday,
November 3, 2015 at Thornwald Home. She was born on August 26, 1921 in Slovan, PA. GG
was the daughter of the late Jovo Auction and Mary (Lesnick) Auction Kolar, and was the widow of George Milos to whom she
was married for 49 years. GG graduated from Union High School in Burgettstown, PA. For
15 years she and her late husband owned and operated the former Crown Distributing Co. in Carlisle. She
was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. GG along with her late husband was a former
member of the Gettysburg Region Antique Automobile Club. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and collecting
antiques, vintage clothing and crystal. Her greatest joy in life came from homemaking and spending time
with her family. She is survived by two daughters; Melinda (husband, Larry) Milos-Dale of
Oakland Township, MI and Lisa Milos of Carlisle, two brothers; Donald Kolar of Middletown and David (wife, Darlene) Kolar
of Mansfield. She was predeceased by one sister, Seena Auction.
GG's family is grateful for the six years of
loving care she received at Thornwald Home.
A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on
Saturday, November 7, 2015 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 21 S. Bedford
St., Carlisle, with Rev. Lisa Leber officiating. Burial will be at the Churchville Cemetery in Oberlin.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Project Share, 5 N. Orange St. # 4, Carlisle or to The Salvation Army, 20 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle,
PA 17013.
