
Savilla J. Pavlasek, 92, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, October
31, 2015 at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. She was born on September 10, 1923, in Carlisle, a
daughter of the late John W. and Ada (Young) Stambaugh, and was the widow of Stephen Pavlasek, Sr., who died June 13, 1997. Savilla
was a certified hair stylist for over 40 years and owned her own salon in Carlisle. She attended the Carlisle
Alliance Church, Carlisle for 60 years. Savilla enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. She
is survived by one son, Stephen (wife, Connie) Pavlasek, Jr. of Boiling Springs, SC and one daughter, Sharon J. (husband,
Russ) Hines of Greensboro, NC, four grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Savilla
was predeceased by three brothers; Marshall, George and Robert Stambaugh and two sisters; Emma Beard and Martha Weary. A viewing
will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. in the Henry Chapel at
Chapel Pointe, 770 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Stephen Motter officiating. Interment will be
in LeTort Cemetery, Middlesex Twp. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Savilla’s name may be made to Carlisle Alliance Church, 237 E. North
St, Carlisle or to the Chapel Pointe Benevolent Fund.
