
Parker E. “Buck” Failor, Jr., 80, of Carlisle, passed away
on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at his home with loving family by his side. He was born on February 15, 1935
in Plainfield, a son of the late Parker E. Failor, Sr. and Martha (Dunkle) Failor. Buck
retired with more than 25 years of service with Frog Switch Mfg. Co. and had also worked for the former Erie Frequency, both
of Carlisle. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Doris L. “Bubbles”
(Baker) Failor, two sons; Daniel (wife, Bev) Failor and Richard (wife, Kathy) Failor, both of Newville, three daughters; Janice
(husband, John) Scott and Brenda (husband, Al) Miller, both of Carlisle and Cathy (husband, Bob) Burchfield of Newville, four
brothers; Eugene E. Failor, Sr. of Gardners, Lawrence M. Failor, Paul C. Failor and John Failor, all of Carlisle, two sisters;
Alice Clepper of Mt. Holly Springs and Charlene Shaeffer of Carlisle, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren
and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Harry E. Failor, Sr. and three sisters;
Elizabeth Barclay, Sarah Myers and Katherine Newhouse. A viewing will begin at 9:30
a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2015 followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S.
Hanover St., Carlisle. Pastor Jim Moats will officiate. Interment will be in Westminster
Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
