Heaven Rae Kelley, forever 16, of Mt. Holly Springs, passed to eternal life on Friday, July 17, 2015.
She was at home surrounded by her loving family. After a four year courageous journey, precious
Heaven did not lose a battle with cancer but won her new life with her Heavenly Father. She was born on
May 26, 1999 in Carlisle, a daughter of John R. Kelley, Jr. and Jamey L. (Shank) Kelley of Mt. Holly Springs. Heaven
was a member of the Boiling Springs High School Class of 2017. She attended Carlisle Brethren in Christ
Church and most recently, the Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, Carlisle. Heaven enjoyed cheerleading,
ballet, watching her brother’s baseball games, singing, shopping, swimming, arts and crafts, making jewelry and having
her own youth group, Heaven’s Angels. Most of her days were filled with snuggling with her white
westies, Squirt, Jovi, Patch and Sempi and her crazy cat Coover. Heaven appreciated and looked forward
to all the visits from her friends.
In addition to her parents, she is survived
by one brother, Tayven Kelley of Mt. Holly Springs, two sisters; Ashley Shank (companion, Tyler Shopp) of Carlisle and Olivia
Kelley (companion, Zach Fiebke) of Columbia, SC, paternal grandparents; John Kelley, Sr. and Paulette (Slusser) Kelley of
Carlisle, maternal grandparents; Gregory and Brenda (McCaslin) Shank and Larry Statler and Connie (Fulton) Shank, all of Carlisle,
three uncles; Craig Kelley of Carlisle, Mike Hinchberger of Shermansdale and Chad Statler of Charlotte, NC, two aunts; Andrea
Kelley of Carlisle and Kimberly Shank of Shermansdale and seven cousins; Dylan, Madison, Alexandra and Emma Kelley, Samantha
and Tabitha Beckerleg and Macayla Mills.
A viewing
will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 followed by funeral services at 12:00 noon in the Carlisle Evangelical Free
Church, 290 Petersburg Rd., Carlisle, with Pastor Shad Baker officiating.
The family would love to see a lot of pink at Heaven’s services, which
was her favorite and her team color. A time of fellowship will immediately
follow the services at the church. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to Hope for Heaven, C/O Member’s 1st Federal Credit Union, 1166 Walnut
