Robert L. Fisher, 73, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.  He was born on May 21, 1942 in Carlisle, and was a son of the late Albert C. Fisher, Sr. and B. Irene (Hays) Fisher.

Bob was a 1961 graduate of Carlisle High School and shortly thereafter entered the US Navy.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  Bob was currently employed by Fry Communications, Inc. in Mechanicsburg, where he had worked in the maintenance department for nearly 20 years.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge 578, Eagles Aerie 1299, American Legion Post 101 and life member of V.F.W. Post 477, all of Carlisle.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Marlene M. (Chronister) Fisher, one stepdaughter, Traci Smith of San Antonio, TX, two brothers; Clyde Fisher of Newville and Joseph Fisher of Carlisle, one sister, Connie Hutchinson of Newville, one granddaughter, Courtney Keyte, two great-granddaughters; Addison and Emma Keyte and several nieces and nephews.  Bob was predeceased by brothers; Jimmy Kulla, Dick Bartos and Albert Fisher, Jr. and his sisters; Marguerite Ostrander, Beverly Miller, Kay Hockensmith and Scarlet Lichtenberger.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St. Carlisle, with Pastor Greg Hench officiating.  Entombment with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the PA Wounded Warriors, Inc., 1117 Country Club Rd. Camp Hill, PA 17011.
