Wayne M. Stoner, 85, of Mechanicsburg,
passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his home. He was born on June 3, 1929 in Camp Hill and was a son
of the late Charles and Margaret (Morrison) Stoner.
Wayne graduated
from Camp Hill High School and worked in the construction industry most of his life. He was a member of
the Bricklayers Local 5 in Harrisburg. Wayne enjoyed hunting. He
is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Doris J. (Roub) Stoner, his children; Sharon (husband Floyd) Carroll of FL, Rob
Stoner of Hawaii, Eric (wife Megan) Stoner of Carlisle, Todd (wife Jeanette) Stoner of Mechanicsburg and Shelly (husband Lawrence)
Garner of Mechanicsburg, one brother, Glen Stoner, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandsons. Wayne was predeceased
by one daughter, Sherry Stoner. A viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. until
1:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, with a graveside service to follow at 2:00
p.m. in the St. John’s Cemetery, Mechanicsburg with Pastor Del Keeney officiating. Immediately following
the service a time of fellowship will be held at the Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren. Memorial donations may be
made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
