SSGT (Ret) Wesley Edel Brown, USAF, 87, of Carlisle,
died on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle. He was born on Sept. 29, 1927,
in Philadelphia, a son of the late Gertrude E. (Gray) Berry. Edel was
a Carlisle High School graduate and attended H.A.C.C. for one year. He retired as a Staff Sergeant with
US Air Force. He was a veteran of the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. After his retirement
from military service, Edel worked for many years and then retired from the Carlisle Area School District, where he had worked
in the maintenance department. He attended Bibleway Hibner Memorial Church of God in Christ and Bethel
A.M.E. Church, both in Carlisle. He was predeceased by one sister,
Inez Green. In following Edel’s wishes, interment will be
