

James V. Boyle, 82, of New Kingstown, died on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at his home. He was
born on Sept. 8, 1932, in Lansford, a son of the late Samuel and M. Olive (Bonner) Boyle.
He was a 1959 graduate of St. Ann’s Catholic High School in Lansford and then attended King’s College in Wilkes-Barre
for two years. Jim served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He retired after
more than 30 years of service with the Commonwealth of PA. Jim was a member of Saint Katharine Drexel Church,
Mechanicsburg and was a Past Commander of the Lansford American Legion Post.
He
is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Lenore C. (Shumaker) Boyle, two daughters; Kathleen Boyle-Giannini and husband
Matthew of Harleysville and Sheila Donahoe and husband John of Chevy Chase, MD, two grandchildren; Patrick and Eileen Donahoe
and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers; Samuel, Robert, Frank, George and Cornelius
Boyle.
A
visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Saint
Katharine Drexel Church, 1 Peter Dr., Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Father Kenneth G. Smith will celebrate the
Mass. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Ewing Brothers Funeral
Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to his church or Homeland
