
Sara Jane Keck, 92, of Carlisle, went to be with
the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Harrisburg Hospital. She was born on July 20, 1922, in Carlisle,
a daughter of the late John B. King and Ethel (Shover) Shearer, and was the widow of John B. Keck, who died Jan. 24, 2012. Sara was a Carlisle High School graduate and a loving homemaker. She was a longtime member of the
Carlisle First Church of God, where she taught Sunday School for 50 years and was a member of the Women of the Church of God.
Sara enjoyed oil painting and making ceramics and all types of crafts. She is survived by two daughters; Ronda Sue (and her husband, David) Rudy of Seminole, FL and Lucinda “Cindy”
Jayne (and her husband, Rev. Richard L.) Warner of Carlisle, one sister, Joan Matthew of Carlisle, four grandchildren, six
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Richard L. King. A viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015, followed by services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers
Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Str., Carlisle, with Pastor Greg L. Hench officiating. Interment will be in
Waggoner’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Carlisle. Memorial donations may be made to Carlisle
First Church of God, 705 Glendale Str., Carlisle, PA 17013.
