Hale W. Kitzmiller, Jr., 75, of Carlisle, died Tuesday,
February 24, 2015, at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. He was born Nov. 16, 1939, in Harrisburg,
a son of the late Hale W. Kitzmiller, Sr. and Margaret (Lindsey) Kitzmiller. Hale served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Defense Logistic Agency in
New Cumberland after 25 years of service. Hale was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed
antiques and was active at Bedford Street Antiques in Carlisle. He is survived
by his wife of 13 years, Susan L. (Spies) Kitzmiller, one daughter, Nicole Horst of Chambersburg, one brother, David Kitzmiller,
4 step-children and 5 step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Carl Kitzmiller and one sister,
Vicki Erford. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015,
at 2:00 p.m. in the Carlisle United Methodist Church, 45 S. West Str., Carlisle. Burial will be private.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorial contributions
may be made to Carlisle United Methodist Church or to the Salvation Army Senior Center, 20 E. Pomfret Str., Carlisle, PA 17013.
