
Beulah C. Griest, 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, January 15,
2015, at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. She was born on March 29, 1928, in Carlisle, a daughter of
the late Amos L. and Hazel (Sheaffer) Keck and was the widow of James D. Griest, who died Nov. 11, 2002. Beulah had worked many years at K-Mart on the Carlisle Pike and later on with Nell’s Food Market, Carlisle.
She attended Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church. She is
survived by two daughters; Connie L. Shank and Mary C. (husband, Ashley) Rhodes, both of Carlisle, one brother, Clyde Keck
of Carlisle, two grandchildren; Kimberly Shank and Jamey Kelley, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Beulah was predeceased by one brother, Bruce Keck and four sisters; Gladys Coughlin, Dorothy Mark, Ardella
Stansfield and Marie Simons. A
viewing will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers
Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Str., Carlisle, with Pastor Linda Lambert officiating. Interment will be in
Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
