Barbara A. Bartles, 64, of New Kingstown, passed away on Wednesday, January
14, 2015, at her home. She was born March 17, 1950, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late John R. and Esther
M. (Durnin) Hostetter. Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Big Spring High School.
She worked many years with Uni-Mart on Spring Rd., Carlisle and later on became a district manager for the area Uni-Marts.
She also worked several years with the Flying J Travel Plaza, Carlisle. She is survived by one son, Keith E. (wife, Selena) Bartles of Carlisle, one daughter, Angie M. (husband, Donald, Jr.)
Fureman of Hummelstown, five grandchildren; Olivia and Madelyn Fureman, Dayne and Reyanne Bartles and Lazereth Bartles, one
brother, Richard Hostetter and one step-sister, Lois Bailey of Newville. Barbara was predeceased by one
son, Kevin Bartles and one brother, Robert Lee Hostetter.
A visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m.
in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Str., Carlisle, with Rev. Robert Stouffer officiating. Burial
will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
