
James “Jimmy” Edward Boggess, Sr., 72
of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. James was born
June 8, 1942, in Fayetteville, WV to Emma Louise (Windell) Cox. On November 6, 1963, he married Evelyn
Winiavski. James was a retired carpenter and loved continuing
his craft throughout his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He loved spending his days traveling through the neighborhood on his golf cart visiting his friends and playing cards. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Evelyn, three sons; Edward of Mt. Holly Springs, James Jr. of Florence,
SC and Tom and his wife, Cindy of Brown Mills, NJ, five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two brothers; Carl and Brady
and four sisters; Violet, Kathy, Charlotte and Pam. A viewing
will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral
Home, 630 S. Hanover Str., Carlisle, with Rev. Walt Frankenberry officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Holly
Springs Cemetery.

It was truly a blessing for the short time that I knew Jim. He always put a smile
on my face whether he was on his scooter or telling me a joke in my office. There are people in the world you should always
learn from and Jim was one of them. Thank you Jim for your smile. I will miss you. God Bless you and your family.
