
Martin Junior Shutt, 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday,
December 14, 2014, at Forest Park Health Center in Carlisle. He was born on July 9, 1928, in Etters, a
son of the late Martin M. and Mary E. (Martin) Shutt. Martin
was a US Army veteran of WWII and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Martin retired from Chromalloy
in Harrisburg, which was the former T. R. W. Corp. after many years of service. He was a machine repairman.
Martin was a member of the National Pigeon Club and was an accomplished wood worker and avid gardner. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, June (Renard) Shutt, three sons; Barry (wife, Susan) Shutt
of Camp Hill, David (wife, Andrea) Shutt of Durham, NC and Daniel (wife, Elaine) Shutt of Elizabethtown, one daughter, Linda
(husband, Randy) Joseph of York, one brother, George Shutt of Harrisburg, one sister, Mary Wolf of Carlisle, five grandchildren,
two step-grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. in
the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Str, Carlisle. Rev. Donna Hughes will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, with military honors by Cumberland County
Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania,

am very sorry to learn of your loss from my Dad. It has been many years since I played at the Shutt home and with you Dan,
but I always remember those times fondly and how welcoming your home was to the neighborhood kids. My prayers are with you
