Margaret E. “Peggy”
Foreman, 85, of Boiling Springs, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle. Born
November 3, 1928 in Burnt Cabins, Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late John Warren and Louella (Waters) Foreman.
Peggy retired from Farmers Trust
Bank in Carlisle after 34 years of service. Raised as a farm girl on her family’s dairy farm, she
developed a love for all things 4H, even having won “Grand Champion” for her Hereford steer when only a young
girl! She chaperoned the Cumberland County Dairy Princess Program for many years along with being a member
of the Farm Women Society No. 2, Cumberland County.
A child of God, Peggy was a former
Sunday School teacher and enjoyed singing in her church choir, watching the Philadelphia Phillies baseball games, playing
bingo and collecting bears.
Surviving are two brothers, James and his wife, Wilma, of
Ocala, FL and Richard and his wife, Leah, of Mechanicsburg, along with a niece and four nephews.
A viewing will
be held at the Church of God Home chapel, 801 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until
funeral services begin at 10 a.m. Chaplain Bradley V. Moore will officiate. Interment
will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Churchtown, Boiling Springs.
