Pearl
E. Mellinger, 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Manor Care, Carlisle. She was born April 1, 1932 in Carlisle,
a daughter of the late Jacob and Ethel (Treaster) Eberly. She was the widow of Raymond C. Mellinger, Sr.,
who died December 26, 1999. Pearl was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
and aunt. She was a member of Faith Chapel, Carlisle. Surviving are
a son, Raymond C. Mellinger, Jr. of Boiling Springs; two grandchildren, Raymond C. (Martha) Mellinger, III of New Cumberland
and Danielle (Scott) Mellinger-Oyster of Camp Hill; three great-grandchildren, Justin Mellinger of New Cumberland, and Lindsay
and Madeline Oyster, both of Camp Hill; several nieces and nephews; and a great niece, Nancy (Al) Castaneda of Carlisle. A viewing will
be held from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover
St., Carlisle. Interment will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg
Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011 or online at www.lung.org.
