

Ralph W. Brown, 75, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, June
26, 2014 at his home.
He was born on September 19, 1938 in Reelsville, IN, a son of the late George and Elizabeth
(Hedge) Brown. He retired from IBM in 1991 after 33 years of service. He had also worked
for Troy Laundry and Farmers Trust. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Masonic Temple Lodge #47, both
in Greencastle, IN. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. On March 21, 1965 he wed the former Vera D. Pickett, who survives along with a son, Michael (Diane) Brown of Olathe,
KS; a daughter, Michelle (Bernard) Risbon of Carlisle; a grandson, Kevin Risbon of Carlisle; a granddaughter, Katie Risbon
of Carlisle; a sister, Loretta Huff of Greencastle, IN; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Virginia Bowers, Florence Shaner, Miriam Maury and
Kathryn Littrel; and four brothers, Donald, William, John, and Jake Brown. A viewing will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday,
July 1, 2014 followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.
Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The family will accept flowers or
contributions may be made to McClure’s Gap Church of God, 130 Church of God Rd., Newville, PA 17241.
