
Janet M. Palmer, 65, of Carlisle, passed to eternal life
on Monday, June 9, 2014, in the Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. She was born on Nov. 6, 1948, in Carlisle,
a daughter of the late William H. Palmer, III and Henrietta L. (Jackson) Palmer. She attended Carlisle High School and had worked at Dickinson College in food service for many years.
She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Carlisle. Janet loved cooking and watching
soap operas. She is survived by one son, Andre
M. Palmer of Carlisle, one daughter, Vanessa Glass of Newark, NJ, five brothers; Thomas A. (Ruth) Palmer, Wayne E. Palmer,
Charles E. (Suellen) Palmer and William (Marsha) Owens, all of Carlisle and Albert Owens of Springfield, VA, four sisters;
Margaret A. Palmer and Gwendolyn F. Palmer, both of Carlisle and Dorothy M. Palmer-Grimes and husband, Victor of Woodbridge,
VA and Annette P. Buchanan of Miami, FL, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased
by brother, Kenneth W. Palmer, sister, Brenda J. Palmer and two nephews; Ahmaud W. Palmer and William H. Palmer, IV. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 12:00
noon in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Daniel B. Keys officiating. Burial
will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until
time of services. Memorials may be made in Janet’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society,

To the Family of the late Sis. Janet Palmer, I send my heartfelt sympathy and Prayer that the

our childhood and adult years together. May the Lord give the family peace and heal your hearts, because the time you had
with Janet was a blessing. We all loved her and will truly miss her. You were special to me Jane, and I will never forget
our time together as friends. I'm forever grateful for times I was able to help you. I pray one day we'll be together
again walking arm in arm like we always did.
