Dennis E. Cooley, 72, of Boiling Springs, died Monday, May
26, 2014 at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. He was born on February 18, 1942, in Carlisle, a son of
the late Clarence P. and Gladys E. (Shearer) Cooley. Mr. Cooley retired from Raytheon Company after more than 30 years of service as a defense contractor.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. On December 26, 1964, in Mechanicsburg, he wed the former Carol
Ann Clouser, who survives along with a son, David and his wife, Kristen, of Texas; two grandchildren, Sarah and Evan, both
of Texas; a brother, Michael Cooley and a sister, Beverly Hench, both of Carlisle. Friends will be received beginning at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial
service at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Ed
Roman officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of
the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation, 100 Arbor
Ave., Nebraska City, NE 68410.

The old neighborhood won't be the
same without Dennis. I'll miss his quiet, gentle spirit and quirky sense of humor. And his home-grown tomatoes were
