

Edward L. Fenicle, Sr.,
62, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born
on Aug. 23, 1951, in Carlisle, a son of the late Elwood Fenicle and Phyllis (Jones) Motter. Ed was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. He earned his G.E.D. from the
Big Spring School District. Ed retired from Cumberland County after 9 years of service in the maintenance
department at the courthouse. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Carlisle.
Ed enjoyed collecting records, including 45s and LPs.
He
is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Mary A. (Keck) Fenicle, one daughter, Mary L. Ober of Mifflintown,
two brothers; Clarence “Buzz” Fenicle of Carlisle and Brian Long of Camp Hill, two granddaughters; Crystal and
Jessica Hefenfinger and several nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by one son, Edward L. Fenicle, Jr.,
who died in 2006 and one granddaughter, Carie Hefenfinger.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the
Upper Frankford Brick Church Cemetery, Brick Church Rd., Newville, with Chaplain Anna Thompson officiating. Ewing
Brothers Funeral Home, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made
to a favorite charity of your choice.

the passing of Ed...I worked with him at Cumberland Crossing for a short time and I will always remember him as a very
