
Cora Bethel Gwendolyn
(Mann) Krebs, 96, of Carlisle, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, in the Sarah A. Toddd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
She was born November 27, 1917 to Clarence and Cora (Gaisford) Mann. She grew up on a farm near Ellis,
Nebraska, attended country school, three years at Diller High School and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1935. She
taught country school, grades 1-8 for four years. In 1939, she married Elmer H. Krebs. They lived in Jansen
for three years and then moved to a farm in Jefferson County where they lived until 1970. They moved to Lincoln where she
worked for the state in Social Services until 1982. She was active in the Vine Congregational UCC Church that they joined
in 1970. Bethel enjoyed sewing, crafts and piecing quilts. She and Elmer enjoyed many trips during their
70 years of marriage. For the past year and a half she lived in Carlisle. She is survived by children; Harry D. Krebs and spouse Jane, Suzann K. Zeger and spouse George, Steve A. Krebs and
grandchildren; Portia Krebs and spouse Dory Boyd, Thad Krebs and spouse Jennifer, Aaron Krebs and spouse Krista, Wes Zeger
and spouse Heather, Nicole Zeger and spouse Jamie Lawfer, and Emily Krebs and spouse Douglas Turner; great-grandchildren;
Princess Krebs, Emma and Ellie Krebs, Gabrielle, Nolan, Cora and Gwendolyn Zeger, Sabrina and Natalie Krebs, Simon Turner,
sisters; Letty Phelps and Doris Menke, sisters-in-law; Dorothy Krebs and Phyllis Weimer, brothers-in-law; Orville Krebs, Delmer
Weimer and Earl Bartlett and many extended relatives and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer H. Krebs, daughter, Lois Louise Krebs, her parents, Clarence and
Cora Mann, sisters; Lelia, Florence, Esther, Clare Faye, Vivian and Blanche, brothers; Keith, Lester, Orra and Dean, daughter-in-law,
Patricia and grandson, Ian. A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date in Nebraska. Ewing Brothers Funeral
Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.

Bethel, Elmer, Bob and I had so many great times together. We enjoyed traveling, golfing, and bowling. Bethel and I had great
