Beverly Ann Murtorff,
82, of Carlisle, died on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center after a long battle with Alzheimer’s
disease. She was born on Oct. 19, 1931, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Leroy A. and Hulda I. (Snell)
Rohrer and was the widow of William A. Murtorff, who died March 31, 2004. Beverly was a 1950 graduate of Carlisle High School and retired after many years of service with the former Kinney
Shoe Corp., Carlisle. After her retirement from Kinney Shoe, Beverly worked part-time for Karns Food Market
in Mechanicsburg. She is survived by four daughters;
Mary I. “Renie” Rush of Carlisle, Anna M. Irwin of Gardners, Carol L. Floyd of Deltona, FL and Lisa G. Puscian
of Byers, CO, three sons; Jerome A. Rush of Mechanicsburg, John W. Rush, III of Carlisle and James A. Rush of Palmyra, one
brother, George Rohrer of Perry County, one sister, Violet Miller of Carlisle, three step-sons; William J. Murtorff, Denzel
E. Murtorff and Richard L. Murtorff, four step-daughters; Peggy A. Busey, Kandy S. Fetrow, Marie Hill and Dianna L. DelPopolo,
four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Beverly
was predeceased by one daughter, Virginia L. Rush, who died Oct. 16, 2006 and three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at 2 p.m.
in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Chaplain James Link officiating. Burial
will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be on Monday from 1 p.m. until
time of services.

when I got home the house in New Kingston was sold. I worked with her for 25 years. I am sorry for your loss, but she is
in a better place.
