Helen E. Tyler, 77, of
Landisburg, passed to eternal life on Monday, January 20, 2014, at her home. She was born on January 7,
1937, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late J. Bryan Ensminger and Edna (Nickel) Ensminger. Helen was a 1956 graduate of Carlisle High School and served one year in the United States Army. She
was an L.P.N. and retired from the Cumberland County Nursing Home and had also worked at the former Carlisle Hospital and
Church of God Home. Helen was an active member of the Landisburg Church of God. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Robert L. Tyler, three sons; Kevin (wife, Wendy) Young of Newville, Daryl
Young of Mt. Holly Springs and Roger (wife, Kris) Young of Carlisle, one daughter, Crystal (husband, Gene) Herder of Rapid
City, SD, one sister, Thelma Moffit of Carlisle, a sister-in-law, Nellie Ensminger of Carlisle, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild
and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by two brothers; Floyd and Clyde Ensminger. A memorial service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held
on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the Landisburg Church of God, 301 Water St., Landisburg, with Pastor Dick Warner
officiating. A visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time of services on Thursday with a time of fellowship
to immediately follow the services at the church. Burial will be private. Ewing Brothers
Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.

Mom. We didn't
have money, We didn't have "things" but we weren't poor. You always did the best you could with what you
were given. You were the original lemon aid maker. You took me hunting for the first time. You fed us, you disciplined us
and you raised 3 good men and a daughter on your own. I will always remember you dropping me off the day I joined the Army.
I cried while we hugged because I knew I was leaving my home for good. You raised me like that to be strong and independent.
I hope there is a place in heaven for single mothers like you to rest and be cared for because you deserve a good rest and
some happiness for yourself. I will miss you the rest of my life. I wish I were a better son to you when I had the chance.

with your mom at the nursing home. She was such a nice person to work with. We all will miss her a lot.

Steele just got in touch with Helen to tell her of the services of les, she said she was too sick to attend ,but we were
to get together sometime for lunch, I also got a x-mas card and nice letter from her. We would see her at the
corn festival, but didn't see her the last two years. I am so sorry Bob, Kevin, Daryl, Crystal for your loss as I
