
Jean E. Clepper, 85, of Carlisle, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Church of God Home, Carlisle.
She was born June 1, 1928, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Mervin W. and Mary K. (Myers) Rhoades, and was the widow
of Arthur E. Clepper, who died March 16, 2001.
Jean had worked for many years at the former Hunts Crystal Co., which became
Murata Erie Crystal Co., Carlisle and from where she retired. Jean formerly attended Waggoners United Methodist
Church, Carlisle and was a life member of V.F.W. Post 8851 Ladies Auxiliary, Boiling Springs. She is survived by two daughters; Charity (Gregory) Giles of
Boiling Springs and Crystal (David) Ruhl of Mt. Holly Springs, one son, Randy (Tina) Kuykendall of Carlisle, two sisters;
Dorothy Kingsborough and Betty Weigle, both of Carlisle, four grandchildren, two great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Eva Kuykendall.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Cumberland
Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Highway, Carlisle, with Chaplain Bradley Moore officiating. A private
viewing will be held for the family. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.
