
James F. Blevins, Jr., 60, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at his home. He
was born on Saturday, October 25, 1952, in Carlisle, the son of the late James F. Blevins, Sr. and Josephine (Kelly) Blevins. James was a 1970 graduate of Carlisle High School and was formerly
employed as office manager at Halls Trucking and as payroll manager for Carolina Freight Trucking. He was
a member of Red Mount Methodist Church in East Berlin. James is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Donna K. (Wiland)
Blevins, two sisters; Karen Shute (husband, Dave) of Apple Valley, MN and Cynthia Beam (husband, Edwin) of Carlisle, two brothers-in-law;
Robert Wiland of East Berlin and William Wiland (wife, Suzanne) of Etters, a granddaughter, Dionna Salas of Bremerton, WA,
four nieces; Ursula, Natalie, Melissa and Janelle and five nephews; Bart, Brian, Greg, Todd and David. He
was predeceased by his son, Michael A. Blevins, who died on April 30, 1988 and his sister-in-law, Teresa Wiland. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home,
630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Matthew Loyer officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m.
until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to
Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Dr., Triangle, VA 22172.
