John Williamson,
85, died on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at his daughter’s home in Boiling Springs, PA. He was born
on April 27, 1928, in Bridgeport, CT, a son of the late William and Alice (Egden) Williamson and was married to the late Janet
F. (Lamarche) Williamson, who died Oct. 1, 2004. John retired with more than 30 years of service as an assembler with the Bridgeport Machines Co. in CT.
He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Boiling Springs Congregation. John was a US Navy
veteran of WWII.
He
is survived by two sons: Paul W. (and wife, January) Williamson of Newtown, CT and Kyle J. Williamson of Sharon Hill, PA;
three daughters: Diane J. (and husband, Patrick) O’Leary of Boiling Springs, PA; Janice A. Spears of Milford, CT and
Debra L. Williamson of Enola, PA, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norman and Mary Parker of Stratford, CT, 13 grandchildren,
11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, John C. Williamson,
two brothers; Kenneth and Alan Williamson, and a grandson Brian Treczker. A
memorial service will be held on September 7, 2013, with visitation at 6:00 PM and the memorial service at 7:00 PM, in the
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3016 Main St., Stratford, CT, with Elder David Wilson officiating. Inurnment
will be in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, PA assisted the family
with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paradise Green Congregation
of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3016 Main St. Stratford, CT 06614 or Celtic Healthcare, 220 Wilson St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
