Claire Aileen Rowe, 87, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle.  She was born on Aug. 26, 1925, in Carlisle, and was a daughter of the late Norman S. Ocker, Sr. and Ruth (Koontz) Ocker and was the widow of Robert A. Rowe, who died May 19, 2004.

Claire had worked at the former Carlisle Shoe Co. and Carlisle Poultry & Egg and retired from the former P. R. Hoffman, Co., Carlisle.

She is survived by one son, Ronald A. (and wife, Jackie) Rowe of Mechanicsburg, one daughter, Connie L. (and husband, Stephen) Loy, of Carlisle, four sisters; Esther (and husband, Wilmont) Cassel, Helen Ocker and Revenda (and husband, Sam) Burdette, all of Carlisle and Faye (and husband, James) Hall of New Kingstown, one brother, Richard (and wife, Esther) Ocker of Carlisle, three granddaughters, two step grandsons, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Claire was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Ocker, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Raymond Kingsborough officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.  A viewing will be held on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of services.  Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1200 Walnut Bottom Rd., Suite 302, Carlisle, PA 17015.
