George H. “Bud” Myers, Jr., 86, of Carlisle, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at his home.
He was born January 5, 1927, in Carlisle, a son of the late George H. Myers, Sr. and Mariah F. (Henderson) Myers. George attended Carlisle High School
and was a US Army Veteran. He retired in 1991 from the former C. H. Masland & Sons, Carlisle, after
45 years of service. George was also a farmer in the Carlisle area all of his life. He
was a member of the Barnitz United Methodist Church, Carlisle, where he formerly served on the Administrative Board and as
a Trustee. George was a former member of the 25 Year Club with C. H. Masland & Sons and the Whirl-Away
Square Dance Club, both of Carlisle. He was a founding member of the Brooks Run Hunting Camp in Cameron
County. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara A. (Linthicum) Myers and several nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by four sisters; Pauline Spidle, Catherine Roush, Mary Herr and Cora Eurich and one nephew,
Michael Spidle. Funeral services will be held
on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 11:00 AM in the Barnitz United Methodist Church, 23 Church Lane, Carlisle, with Rev. Rick Robinson
officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing
will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the services. Ewing Brothers Funeral
Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Barnitz United Methodist
Church.

Uncle Bud was a wonderful
man. I will always be thankful for knowing both of you, and that we have always stayed in touch.
