
Joseph
Douglas Railing, 33, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at his Mother's home, Carlisle, with loving family
by his side. He was born on Monday, January 28, 1980, in Carlisle, a son of Sheree L. (Gossert) Fraker
and her husband, Michael E. Fraker and Joseph O. Railing, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne (Martin) Railing of Carlisle.
Joe was a 1998 graduate of Big Spring High School, Newville
and a 2002 graduate of Penn State University (Altoona Campus), where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
He was currently employed with Deibler Insurance Associates, Carlisle, where he was an insurance agent.
Joe was a member of the Penn State Alumni Association. He enjoyed baseball, soccer and spending
time with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by paternal grandparents, Ray and Shirley Bricker, of Carlisle, maternal grandmother,
Barbara L. Gossert of Carlisle, step-grandparents; Violet Fraker and William and Erika Martin, all of Carlisle, brother, Charles
M. Fraker of Carlisle, two sisters; Amanda J. Fraker of Carlisle and Heidi Railing of York, a step-brother, Steven Dougherty
of San Bernardino, CA and one step-sister, Erika Dougherty of Carlisle. Funeral
services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle,
with Pastor Linda Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the
services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society - Capital Area
Unit 2, Ste. 101, Lemoyne Dr., Lemoyne, PA 17043 or to Gentiva Hospice, Ste. 204, 4660 Trindle Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011.
