

Eugene R. "Pap" Stoner, Sr.,
85, of Carlisle, died on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Church of God Home, Carlisle. He was born on Saturday, October 22, 1927,
in Mechanicsburg, a son of the late Ray and Alda (Rhoades) Stoner. Eugene was a US Army veteran of WWII. He worked in the construction industry
most of his life and operated the Eugene R. Stoner Construction Co., Carlisle for many years. Pap enjoyed the outdoors and
was an avid hunter. He is survived
by three sons; Eugene R. Stoner, Jr. of Carlisle, Edward L. Stoner of Shermans Dale and Dale R. Stoner of Mt. Holly Springs,
one daughter, Trudy A. (and her husband, Reggie) Wertz of Dillsburg, two brothers; Sylvan Stoner of Victor, MT and David Stoner
of Mechanicsburg, one sister, Rea "Dolly" Wilson of Painted Post, NY, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Harold Stoner. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Chaplain Bradley Moore officiating. A viewing will be held
on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Mt.
Holly Springs Cemetery.

Trudy, Ed, Chuck and Pee Wee, There are so many stories that I could tell, fun, happy and
