Randall E. Horner, 63, of Carlisle, died on Monday, May 20, 2013, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.  He was born July 28, 1949, in Mechanicsburg, a son of the late Albert Edward Horner and May (Wilson) Horner.

Randy was a Cumberland Valley High School graduate and attended Harrisburg Area Community College and Penn State University.  Randy served as a Sergeant in the United States Marines.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and earned the Vietnam Service Medal with five stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, the Good Conduct Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and the Presidential Unit Citation.  He retired from the Department of Defense Logistics, where he was an analyst.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy K. (Wilson) Rhoades, brothers, sisters and other extended family members.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the Wesleyan Church of The Cross, "B" Street, Carlisle, with Rev. Daniel Mikesell officiating.  Burial will be private.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, assisted the family with the arrangements.
