Ada M. Baker, 94, of Carlisle, passed away
on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Thornwald Home, Carlisle. She was born on Friday, June 28, 1918, in New Bloomfield, a daughter
of the late Christian S. and Mae M. (Shearer) Kitner, and was the widow of Harry L. Baker, who died Nov. 9, 2003. Ada retired from the former Bedford Shoe Co.,
Carlisle, after nearly 20 years of service. She was a member of Carlisle First Church of God. Ada enjoyed sewing, baking and
being a homemaker. She is survived
by her loving daughter, Connie L. Calaman of Carlisle, two grandchildren; Kimberly S. Day of Shippensburg and Kenneth R. Calaman,
Jr. of Newville, three great-grandchildren; Matthew and Morgan Day and Megan Calaman and several nieces and nephews. Ada was
predeceased by one sister, Ruth Rice and brothers; Roy, David, Stanley, Norman and Paul Kitner. A private graveside service and burial will be held in the Cumberland Valley
Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, with Pastor Greg Hench officiating. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the
arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Carlisle First Church of God, 705 Glendale St., Carlisle, PA 17013.

I was saddened to see of Ada's passing but know that she is with Harry now. They were
both so sweet. I got to know them as a 17 year old working at McDonalds when they came in several times a week to have sundaes.
I stayed in touch over the years and always enjoyed when I would see them.
