Mark L. Keener, 63, of Carlisle and formerly
of Huntington, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at his home. He was born on Sunday, May 8, 1949, in Freeport,
NY, a son of the late Charles H. Keener, Sr. and Aline M. (Jockers) Keener. Mark graduated in 1967 from Huntington High School and retired after many years
of service as a police officer with the Nassau County Police Department, Long Island. Mark is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 17 years, Christine (Bayley)
Keener, two brothers; Charles "Skip" Keener of Beverly Hills, FL and Frank E. Keener of Newville and eight nieces
and nephews. A viewing will be held
on Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.
A prayer service will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. William C. Forrey officiating. Burial will be private.
