Vincent "Vinny" Louis Capozzi,
age 8, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born on Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in Harrisburg. He is the son of Louis J. Capozzi, Jr. and Shelly (Valencik) Capozzi
of Carlisle. Vincent
was a member of Brethren In Christ Church, Carlisle and formerly attended Rice Elementary School prior to being home schooled.
Vincent loved being with his siblings. He would play house, school, library, and hide and seek. Reading books with his mommy
was his favorite pastime. Mrs. Dee Hombach enhanced Vinny’s life with her love of teaching disabled children academics,
and working with him on his large touch screen computer. Vinny had a great sense of humor and would laugh at jokes and loved
to be silly with costumes, and his sesame street stuffed animals. His sister would carry him everywhere even when he weighed
over 40 pounds. Vinny enjoyed walking with goats, and his dog Duddley. His orange cat slept in his bed and would jump in his
wheelchair. Vincent loved his nurses and his Dr. Wenner. His father would sing his favorite song, The Star Spangled Banner,
every morning and Vinny would laugh at his Dad’s lack of singing talent. Everyone that knew Vincent experienced unconditional
love. He touched many lives with his courage and his contagious smile. In addition to his parents, Vinny is survived by his two brothers; Louis J. Capozzi, III
and Victor Louis Capozzi, his sister, Liza A. Capozzi, all at home, his maternal grandmother, Karol Kabroth of Carlisle, his
paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Capozzi of Oceanside, NY, his aunt and uncle; Doug and Kay Hoffman of Grantham, his uncle, Edward Capozzi and aunt, Maya Capozzi, both
of Sparta, NJ, his uncle, Charles Petrie of Cranston, RI and several other extended family members. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at
the Capozzi family home, 1655 Holly Pike, Carlisle, with Pastor Yvonne Rulli-Bietter officiating. Viewing will be held from
10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Capozzi home. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle. Memorial contributions
may be made to the United Leukodystrophy Foundation, 224 North Second Street, Suite 2, DeKalb, IL 60115. Ewing Brothers
Funeral Home, Carlisle, is handling the arrangements.

Shelly, Lou and Family... Family pain is not easy. To
understand the loss of a lil' Vinny, and reconcile that with a loving God who surely cares about His innocent children.
In a fallen world there is no assurance of a life free of pain, loss injustice or suffering. And yet for lil' Vinny, surely
he has now come home to the Father and a place where he is free from the suffering he lived while here on earth. Yet, at the
same time, Vinny could not have asked for a better family of love then you provided, the devotion, caring, attention
and kindness were certainly all from the love God gave you to share. I know it must be a tremendous loss for you and your
family, but please remember, 'A sunset in one Land is a sunrise in another'. Lil' Vinny has gone home to be with
his heavenly Father, and I know that the Lord has been waiting for him with open arms and love. May the love you shared, the
love that Vinny knew oh so dearly, be a blessing to those who now seek to comfort you in this tremendous and gut wrenching
loss. Rest assured that Lil' Vinny is now at peace with God the Father, and his Lord Jesus and Friend. God Bless....Peter and Sue. (Peter & Sue Ostrowski) _______________

Lou & Shelly, What I am feeling right now is hard to put into words. As there are no words to comfort
your pain at this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Though I only knew Vinny for a short
period of his life, he has forever changed mine. May he now find himself running wildly through a goat filled heaven filled
with stars as bright as his smile. I am a truly blessed nurse to have had the privilege of caring for your son. With
deepest sympathy,
