Geneva L. Clelan, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Church of God Home, Carlisle. She was born on Wednesday, October 11, 1922, in Mt. Holly Springs, a daughter of the late Gerald L. and Esther May (Slusser) Notar and was the widow of Marvin Bruce Clelan, who died on Nov. 18, 1996.

Geneva had worked at the former Blough & Wagner Dress Factory and also did babysitting in her home for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Phillips of Three Springs and several nephews. Geneva was predeceased by a sister, Frances Feeser.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover Str., Carlisle, with Rev. Robert Stauffer officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

 DEAR clelan family when I saw and heard about sweet Geneva passing away.It broke my Heart and made me break down and cry. i openly send my deepest Sympathy and my heart felt grief to you.Geneva was a perfect wife. perfect mother,perfect friend who gave all of her Love, time, kind Heart,and she cared and loved people.My life will be blue,tearful,painful without her around anymore.Just remember we will all see her and other loved ones on the Last Trumpet when Jesus Christ returns.We will all have new,young,spiritual bodies.Geneva is asleep in Jesus right now.I loved you Geneva for your kind Heart and Soul. Not money.For the good person you were on the inside.i will see you again Geneva on the Last Trumpet.Rest peacefully dear lady and child of GOD.XXXOOO.

FROM denise ann ly to the Clelan famil and Marlene too. I will always cherish and remember marlene, Geneva and our years as great friends.Nothing and noone can ever change that.I took care of Geneva in my home in Carlisle 4 times.I gave her a place to sleep,food to eat, coffee,tea,and I bought her lunch and dinner too.I use to buy Geneva flowers and make-up,give her free clothing to wear and help her with dishes.I even helped Genenva up when she fell down in the street during winter time.We both took turns buying each other lunch and dinner,giftsa.and we enjoyed each other's company.Geneva told me a few times in her home in Mechanicsburgh that I was good to her.I enjoyed making dinner for Geneva sometimes,watching TV TOGETHER,READING HER THE BIBlE.Geneva was ver y lively,funny,generous,sweet,full of love,.patience,courage,sympathy for others,caring,tender-hearted,lovely,always thinking of other peoples needs.She made my life special and I enjoyed being around her mo!

DEAR Clelan family
 I still miss GENEVA. She will always be in my Heart and soul.I Loved her too much and enjoyed every moment with her..She touched so many people's hearts and lives.I will see GENEVA CLELAN again on the Last Trumpet when our LORD and Savior and best friend return and that day shall come after The Terrible Tribulation Period is over.I can not wait.It will be a Glorious, Victorious ! DAY.In JESUS CHRIST PRECIOUS, POWERFUL, PERFECT NAME.AMEN.And Thank you Wonderful FATHER AND LIFE GIVER of every breath we take and every Heart Beat we take.

 Craig: Sorry that your Mother has passed on. I will remember her and all the childhood activities that we had together. My Mother lived until age 94, but she had mental health issues in her later years.

HELLO ! I JUST WANTED TO REMIND THE CLELAN FAMILY  WHO ARE STILL LIVING THAT GENEVA IS STILL MISSED  BY MANY PEOPLE WHO KNEW HER  ANF LOVED HER FOR YEARS AND SHE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. WHENEVER THE BLESSED HOPE COMES ONEDAY WE  WHO DIED IN CHRIST WILL RISE FROM OUR GRAVES FIRST AND MEET JESJUS CHRIST IN THE CLOUDS AND OTHER TRUE CHRISTIANS WHO ARE LIVING WILL  BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER ALL OF OUR OTHER CHRISTIAN FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES  AND SEE JESUS AND BE WITH HIM AT THE WEDDING SUPPER OF THE LAMB. WE WILL BE IN A MANSIONS. I WILL SEE GENEVA WITH MARLENE AND HER FATHER. I SURE MISS SWEET GENEVA CLELAN ALL THE TIME. GOD BLESS YOU ! LOVE AND FAITH AND HOPE ALWAYS !
