
Jean K. Oyler, 85, of Carlisle, died on
Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on Friday, June 10, 1927, in Gettysburg, a
daughter of the late Leo H. Kuhn, Sr. and Beulah A. (Rider) Kuhn. Jean was a 1945 graduate of Gettysburg High School. She was employed as a supervisor
in the personnel department for 44 years at the Navy Ships Control Center, Mechanicsburg. Jean retired in 1989. She was a
member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle, NARFE Mechanicsburg Chapter 1816, Cumberland-Carlisle AARP Chapter 4377 and
an associate member of NARFE Carlisle Chapter 373. Jean is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, C. Price Oyler, one brother, Leo H. Kuhn,
Jr. of Gettysburg and several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by sister, Mary Louise August. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 28, 2013, at
11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Shrine Church, 152 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, with Rev. Dwight D. Schlaline officiating. Burial will
follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be no viewing. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is
in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle,
PA 17013.
