
JoAnne A. Freeman, 70, of Carlisle, passed
away on Monday, January 14, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Carlisle. She was born on Monday, July 20, 1942, and was
a daughter of the late Emory and Nellie Pearl Alligood. JoAnne was the widow of Herbert Eugene Freeman, who died Feb. 10,
2007. JoAnne
was formerly employed by Carlisle Area School District in the cafeteria and the Pizza Hut restaurant for many years. She attended
the Carlisle Brethren In Christ Church. JoAnne enjoyed bowling, but her family was always her focus and she and her late husband
had a wonderful marriage of 45 years. She enjoyed spending her free time with her grandchildren. In her later years, she attended
the Adult Day Program at her church, where she enjoyed social activities and fellowship. She is survived by two daughters; Shari M. Kyle and her husband, Jeff Betton
of Mt. Holly Springs and Nancy J. Yentzer and her husband, Rod of Carlisle, a sister-in-law, Jackie Starz and her husband,
Joe of Glen Rock, a granddaughter, Peyton Yentzer, three grandsons; John Kyle and his wife, Nikki, Bo Kyle and Chase Yentzer,
two great-grandchildren; Ethan Kyle and Aubrey Kyle and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in
the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Doug Sider officiating. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013.
